You've fallen way behind in the Guardian Quiz.
The free glasses(CIE pint) that were handed out, and the 694's that were on offer.

Free glasses?

For anyone who is unaware, I went through a period of trying to collect as many different numbered pint glasses with the old crown stamp as possible - Each number denoted an area, a region or a factory, they weren't just random. Some are dead common, but others... My goodness, did they Ever actually exist at all?

There was also the aspect of whether it was a glass stamped in the Victorian era, Edward, George V, Gerorge VI or Liz (as far as I am aware, none ever carried a stamp for the guy who abdicated (someone the 8th... Edward?)).

Also, some had merchants names on, pub names, owners, etc etc.

They are most sat in the loft now and I need to donate them to a museum or collector somewhere.

I am giving my house a good clean as I have just left it for a few months due to various reasons.

Anyway, I found some VERY mouldy and forgotten bread and so, I opened the packet and emptied the... Erm... Contents... Into the garden waste bin.

Whoosh!!

A HUGE cloud of mold erupted into the sky!! 😏🤦‍♂️😂

The bin is now sat down - wind in a neighbour's garden (she's on holiday) until further notice.

... Oh and don't get me started on the mouldy teabags... ☺️

Also... 694?

694 was West Yorkshire, what's so special there? 🤣:

Well, you've Websters, Ramsdens, Tetley and Timothy Taylors to consider. The first three owned their pubs, the fourth just the liquids that go into their glasses.

Ramsdens being particularly hard come by these days.

I'm nearly up. Soon there will be a wet dog ☔

I had a rather wet bellied dog this morning, playing ball on the field. Utterly obsessive!

Couple of miles walkies with Bonnie.. Might have been a bit more but it started drizzling quite heavily and I didn't have a hat with me 🐶

You are undressed without a hat.

Not the best day weatherwise here chez Casa Reynard. A soggy, squelchy start and an afternoon with intermittent showers.

I slept well, but still feel off colour. Another quiet day was had, but I've puttered around doing a few chores.

Had a lovely luncheon of an egg mayonnaise sandwich, fruit and a :cuppa:

Have also watched a load of snooker and done a bunch of stuff on the current novel chapter. This includes building a view of UK motorsport in the early / mid 1990s without the rose-tinted spectacles, and further developing the character of Carly Bradshaw. OK, we only see her the once in the entire story, but that doesn't mean that she's any less well developed than my main characters.

Am also bringing in another character called Jonathan Kent in this chapter, loosely based on an ex of mine. He's already been mentioned plenty in the story up until this point, but this is the first time we actually see him. Well, see is maybe not the right word as he makes his grand entrance by stuffing his touring car into a tree.

Now just sat enjoying another :cuppa:
