Morning.
It is milky sunshine here with a frost . There is a ride planned for this morning. I've got to decide on what clothes to wear, I don't want to get too hot and sweaty like I did on Tuesday, I also don't want to get cold. I think I will have to take my Orbit Gold Medal as the place where we will be going has a lot of agricultural machinery on the roads.

Bought MrsF one of those heated gilets for Christmas. It's been a bit temperamental when connecting to a power bank, doesn't always turn on. Anyway it's packed in. Fortunately, the company has agreed to an exchange. Down side, even though it's a UK company etc etc, the orders come direct from China. I'm just awaiting a returns label (cost me £5) to a UK address, but the replacement is likely to take a month to get here !

Good morning from yet again bright & sunny Suffolk after another cold but not quite as frosty as recently night.
Coffee has been had and I'm still to decide what, if anything, I'm going to be doing today.

Oh, and blue general recycling wheelie bin is out for emptying in the morning. It's the first time I've put it out for collection for some three months. Part of that is down to the fact that during the winter, all waste paper and card goes into the scuttle by the grate and is used to light / perk up the fire.

Don't need to put the black bag out, as there's barely anything in it.

Also discovered on Monday that the Boots here in Ely now has a recycling point for pill blister packs. That's really useful, and it's another thing that I won't have to put in the black bag for general waste collection.

My recycling bin has gone missing!

Check the USB cable. They are not the best made item and some combinations, the plugs and the sockets can be at either end of the spec. Or, as is often the case with Chinese stuff totally unaware if any spec or compliance
Maybe a duff joint somewhere?
Run the meter over it.
Bit of solder therapy might produce a miracle - or a fire.

You might end up with 2 gilets.

It's definitely the USB plug. I've ordered a solderless plug (uses a couple of screws) so I can cut the cable and re-wire the socket. May well end up with another - definitely not UK as replies arrive about 3am . I've noticed come corrosion on one of the pins in the USB plug, so I suspect it's cheap tat connector. It's not been washed ! I've tried to clean it, but don't want to do much as there is a 'return' on it. I suspect the replacement jacket will go the same way.

Oh dear. Hope it works out.
