Slow progress with my suspected fractured pelvis. Physio appointment this week said this isn't just muscle damage, we reccon you have a fracture given where the pain is. I've not gone back to the GP or A&E as the diagnosis won't change any treatment, so it's a case of using the crutches and giving it time.

I can hobble around the house with one crutch, and sometimes without, although not far. If I need any distance it's two sticks. How mobile I am very much depends on pain killers, anti-inflammatories and the time of the day or how rested I am. Still can't sleep well, lying on the bed is agony, and I can't get comfortable. I've resorted to the settee slightly propped up with a cushion under the bad leg.

Some days good, some days feels like a step back, but compared to three weeks ago, it's vastly improved.

I managed a little DIY yesterday - cutting some timber for a drawer. I've a long list of jobs to do.

Today, I've so far washed the Aygo, then it's onto the van. It's not particularly dirty but I want to wax it and get the roof cleaned properly - the PDI was poor as the roof had green patches on it when I collected it - the rest was sparkling, the roof not so. I've got some sturdy low level step ladders to reach it - don't worry.

wow that sounds very serious! can't they find the fracture w/ x-rays? maybe instead of a cane use a folding walker?

9 percent of farm land to be turned over to woodland or nature by 2050. The railways have turned the majority of railway cuttings and embankments to woodlands over the years.
The embankment that I used to play on when I was young is too overgrown now. You can hardly see the trains. To us it was a place to play. Long grass, ant hills. He used to toboggan down it in the summer or winter. Once the grass was flattened it became very slippery. You used to get good views from on top, looking over the fields and houses. From the other side we used to sit and watch show jumping. We were sensible in those days and knew how to look out and listen for trains before crossing the tracks.

I can suggest a plot of riverside land that could be turned over to woodland or nature with benefit to everyone in this country.

I am trying to finish off the err... several knitted UFOs.

If you visit Speicher Towers today, you will asked very kindly to help. Kizzy likes to help with my knitting, but she does not understand that wet and/or chewn wool is not a good thing. (Splel chek is telling me that chewn is not a word.)

In my defence the are are several unfinished items because the intricacies of finishing off needs daylight.
