Could you hear me cussing and swearing?
It is a back breaking position lying part way in the car between the seat and dash and trying to get your head and arms underneath the steering wheel. It seems that the old switch has miraculously repaired itself and the new one had failed. No fault was recorded according to the code reader. It also seems as though modern cars don't need the ignition on for the brake lights to work.. It used to be that brake lights and indicators needed the ignition to be on.

It depends who made it. The brake lights on mkI Golf work with the ignition off.

Early morning trip to butchers for the turkey was nice and quick. A quick Look to see what Iceland had reduced and a quick call into lidi. Not many about in town or in the shops. Home by 9.00 then a nice coffee with a big dash of baileys. Then finish the house work and got the ham on to boil. Just had hot ham sandwich, 1st cut of pork pie , Christmas and cheese. All washed down with a nice pint. Be onto the mince pies and the rest once I’ve washed up. Christmas has now started for me. So what ever you get to up have a nice Christmas and see you on the other side.

morning run for fresh rolls so I could have a homemade egg sandwich

it's so hard to work under the dash, especially as I get older. like working under the kitchen sink. kudos to you for staying flexible

Thanks. I can still crawl and roll around on the floor despite being 70.
It's easy for the manufacturers to install whole assemblies without a care for whoever has to try to fix things afterwards.
