Early morning gym done 1st time back after missing a few days due to work. Managed fine just need to get back into a routine luckily im only working one day next week. Once back time to fight with our old mattress and then take on the new one. Can't fold up the old one till Mrs 73 gets back from work. Having looked at the bed frame it will need replacing sooner than thought. But can still wait for a bit yet.

Good morning from a still chilly Suffolk where the sun is shining through the thin high cloud. Coffee has been had along with the last couple of custard cream biscuits from the pack. Another day of nothing planned and plenty of time to do it in.

Good news - it's pension payday.
Bad news - it wont last long once I've had to do the Ch****mas shopping for the family starting late next week.

Morning.
It looks grey, wet and orrible out.
Is anyone watching the new BBC series? I can't call it a drama as nothing dramatic has happened. Moonflower something or other. I have watched 3 episodes and have got confused and bored as it doesn't seem to be getting anywhere. I've now decided not to watch anymore. There must be something else I can waste my time watching .

Watched the first one fell asleep on the second one and rest are on our catch up list

Good morning from Suffolk where it's still a bit cloudy, but much brighter than yesterday and still dry.

Coffee has been had with a fresh pack being opened. Today will be a getting out for some exercise & fresh air combined with travel food & snacks shopping day as I will be spending a large amount of the next four days sitting on trains and waiting on station platforms.

At a very muddy cyclo-cross race in Wakefield today - sun's out now but there's muddy riders and clogged bikes.

A total of 2.5 hours in rain this morning. Nice and mild. Enjoyed that.

Just finished a long email to the son of one of my best pals who dies two weeks ago. He was after any long ago knowledge of his dad from when we'd worked together over fifty years ago. Think I've done a decent job.
He asked about any photos I may have and of course, many of us forget that with the easy use of cellphones now that back in t'day, a camera just took photos in a more limited application; flash cubes needed etc.. Cameras were too bulky to cart about on the 'just in case' basis even the Kodak Instamatic and few of us could afford a camera, much less the film & developing costs - !
Away to the Thursford Crimbo Spectacular tonight, so hope the rain goes off so we can have a jaunt around the wonderland there - ! :okay:

Wet start to the day so the loft excavated for the artificial tree and decorations.
With BT presumably turning up to fibre-ise my line I decided the tree best not go behind the tv next to the router and above the line in.
That left a rather bare looking corner so the car headed up the A61, avoiding almost a large puddle, to a garden centre. A long thin frosted holly and brerry decoration now hung up hanging down the corner.
A genuine Aldi trek this afternoon for items needing stock replenishing which I had not
realised was the case yesterday. The way there involves a stretch of walking alongside the A59 and as I started crossing a side road I saw a car some way up it start to turn onto the road. I then saw the lead car of a queue of vehicles approaching on the A59 indicate to turn in so rather than make them wait I slowed to let turn it only to get a horn blaring at me from the car coming down the road, no prizes for guessing it was an Audi.

Back home and my helpful neighbour made an error of judgement and was heading off to the pub as I arrived so got roped in to help cart my shopping up the my house. It is a problem for me as it involves five steps up which I find hard to manage even without bags of shopping.
Damp day but not cold and little wind tho’ the ferry crossing was a bit bumpy.

Why do I have to log in anew every time I go on to CC and yes I have ticked the stay logged in box? Annoying.

On the positive side the new iPad auto joined my home network but at my son’s house I had to put in a password but that is a once only thing.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's still a bit cloudy, but much brighter than yesterday and still dry.

That didn't last! Checked the rain radar before going shopping and nothing was showing - the drizzle started about a mile up the road and has continued almost constantly ever since along with a stiff breeze. As it was dry when I left no mudguards were fitted so my backpack will need to go into the wash with my trousers at some point. Then I bent the clip when fitting the mudguards later on so that needs replacing - it's not been a good day!

Just under half an hour until the Qatar F1 race gets underway.
