Sorry no idea how to copy and paste from anywhere.

(Editted by Moderator, Oldwheels requested it be moved into this thread.)

Turned out a nice dry day with some watery sunshine but getting colder.
Need to get my winter gloves out as my fingers were getting a bit cold when out on my trike this morning.
My usual route is up the Dervaig road to the end of the Mishnish Lochs and exchanged greetings with somebody who had just been up the volcano and had difficulty keeping his dog under control as it wanted to investigate this strange apparition. It really is the stub of a volcano with a crater loch on top and amazing views I will never see now unless by helicopter.
Back downhill and my phone rang but by the time I was able to stop and dig my phone out they had given up. A limited number of people have my number so best to ring back. Doctor wants a consultation on Wednesday. No idea why but as the only part of me in reasonable health is my hair with no dandruff there are multiple possibilities.
Met one of my pet hates. I stopped in a passing place for an oncoming convoy but one mid convoy stops In an earlier passing place to let me go forward. Why? I am alreay stopped and then have to stop again to let the rest of the convoy pass.

If that was you Speicher much thanks. I will try not to do it again.

Yes, that was me, highly unorthodox. Can you please report your original post, saying that you posted it in the wrong thread. Then I can explain my actions as a Moderator.

Pizza, anyone? 🤔

It's been a mostly sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, a bit on the chilly side thanks to the nortwesterly breeze.

Slept OK-ish, but still not feeling great. Added to the fact that snot overproduction has an effect similar to eating baked beans. If anyone here is wondering who is cracking the farts, then that'll be me...

Had some kitchen time and have made another big pot of beetroot soup (my freebie beetroots are keeping really well, most likely because they're in a bag on a stone floor and not washed). Also moved some firewood and got it ready for cutting, as it's gotten to that time of year where the fire is wanted once it gets to tea time. I do not want to do do any large-scale lumberjilling yet, as I want my knee to settle down. It's getting there. The pain has all gone, but it is very stiff. Fortunately there is enough firewood / deadfall of a good size close to the house that I can cut up for logs. I also have a stash in the garage, but that is my "iron reserve" for when the weather is too poor to go outside.

Anyways, it's time to feed the cat, and then it will be time to feed me.

Between the sneezes the washing got hung out but it didn't particularly dry so the towels and jeans went in the washer on tumble dryer mode for around 30 minutes. Switched it off and the earth leakage breaker flipped, so is that new switch playing up?
Fruit shortage this evening so the plan was car to Waitrose (50p off oranges) and also pick up some bananas and the Co-op (40p off fruit aka apples) . A lack of bananas resulted in a Sainsbury's visit, did get them plus the cod that was missing last Friday and discovered how I picked up the peaches thinking it was a rice pud; they had a stack in the wrong place. The original reasoning against going to Sainsbury's kicked in the return, having to clear the inside of windscreen after a sneezing fit having managed until then without problem.

Anyhow, at long last a mostly bright and sunny day's travel. Home and a quick refresh of the contents of the overnight bag and it's back by the front door ready for Wednesday's outing when I'm off back to Newcastle. I think I may have had a bit too much for breakfast this morning as, since then, I've only had a couple of bananas and a slice of toast.

If this good weather holds on, I may get the mower out on Tuesday and give the grass a final cut of the year.
