I'm going to be near Bromley (probably nearer to @Dec66 territory) on grandparent duty this evening. The littlest one is performing in some kind of summer show for her dance and drama class.

I'm in West Wickham, in the Bromley-Croydon axis of ennui.

I thought everyone had a pub they called their local, even if it isn't

My pub hours are usually split between The Railway (opp West Wickham station) and the similarly named The Real Ale Way, opposite the Sainsburys on Station Road.

I went to Sydenham cos the mate I was meeting lives in South Norwood, so when we meet up we'll go to somewhere we can both easily get to on public transport. So, this usually means Sydenham, Penge, or Croydon.

My other "local", due to its proximity to work, is The Viaduct Tavern near the Old Bailey.

we were woken from semi sleep by 2 cells phones blaring tornado warnings to run to the basement for our lives. Wifey refuses to set foot in our basement. we double checked the storm track, it had already moved on, so we stayed put

1 pair of Thomas Crick Chelsea boots in black suede
10 pairs of trainer socks

All checked and fit for purpose. Unlike the purchaser.
