I have liberally sprinkled the lawn with bird food grass seed, and the robin couldn't be bothered to wait till I had finished before he was down clearing up after me:rolleyes:

Sounds like you have a similar lawn. I decided to feed mine first. After all, weeds have feeling too.

I recently sacrificed it, so there are some bare looking patches.... I deliberately put the seed down this morning as we are expecting rain so hopefully that will help (both with the growing and also keeping the birds off for a bit), it's not as if I haven't put any bird food out for them!

My back lawn is refusing to grow, the moss is doing quite nicely though. The madnolia has decided what it is doing and the buds are now starting to open. It's white flowers look pretty against a blue sky.
The magnolia at the front has had flowers for a number of weeks but the two at the back of the house only have a few open buds!

I was wondering if it was more wind swept out the back. We have some Cowslips at the bottom of the garden but they are really stunted. My next door neighbour cut his lawn a week ago.

Happy last day @vernon. Just think, after today you can be like @summerdays and stay at home sacrificing the lawn ^_^.

I'd be quite happy sacrificing the lawn to demonstrate the destructive powers of my flame thrower.

I'll spend some time searching garden centres for some madnolia plants. I reckon that I'd need the services of a specialist centre.

Have a great last day @vernon.

Remember the good times, the kids will grow up remembering you as a larger than life teacher who cared about them and as they get older all the great things you taught them will start to mean more.

When I read about the first napalm incident in West Yorkshire, I'll know that someone was listening to me....

I suggested to Mr K that he cut the grass before the rain but somehow he was always doing something else. Now it's raining...

And I persuaded Mrs MY out on a short ride before the rain and we saw this heron. Must be spring.
