I have just put another load of 'Nappy Cakes' up for sale on Gumtree and Facebook. I'm fed up with making them now as my hands are no longer up for it.

People give them, as presents, to new parents. There is about 40 brand new nappies in there, a couple of muslin cloths, a cot blanket, fluffy toy, some baby socks, a bib, a couple of washcloths, a little newborn sized body suit, a pair of mits. Nice useful things. They are very American but the English are taking to them rather well. Anyway, they pay the rent.
My wrist really isn't up to making them now. Once this last lot has gone, I won't make any more. Passing the plans and bits and bobs on to a friend.

I make wee hampers up as well with blankets, muslins, bibs, wee body suits, a toy and a little baby nappy cake. People like them. ready made, bespoke gifts where the giver doesn't have to use their imagination and the new Mums are generally delighted. Except for one notable exception, that happened to be Hubster's ingrate brat neice.

My daughter spent hours making one of those when she hosted a ..... ''baby shower''. A baby shower!!!!!!!! It sounds like the domestic follow up to a hen party.

My right mouse button wouldn't work so I opened it up with a screwdriver and found lots of hair and dust inside. I have now cleaned the inside and the right mouse button is, once again, active.

Part time, yeah...he didn't take too well to having buttons implanted onto him at first, to be honest, but he got used to it after I threatened to pull his whiskers off with the neighbours cat...9 out of 10 cats prefer whiskers, after all.

I sometimes like to watch the kettle boil. Can see the bubbles on the level meter and I find steam quite enchanting to look at.
