At work we have 2 drinks machines, long story short the contract runs out at the beginning of June and I have been asked to look for an alternative, 1 rep came in last week and today was a young man from the Mars company, the sweetie bought a couple of free mars bars and some coffee for us to try. Last 1 tomorrow so we will see what he has to offer.

We had everything contracted out to a supplier, who contracted out the drinks machines. Officially we had 15 staff located in the building, but at least twice that in 8 hour visitors each day. They supplied facilities for 15 despite my repeated request they talk to me first. By the time I retired they had worked it out & my hair that remained was grey.

I have a new visitor to the bird feeder. A willow tit.
Definitely not a coal tit before anyone says anything - I am pretty sure from listening to the bird song samples that it is a willow tit and not a marsh tit... very matt black head, not even slightly glossy, slightly larger than a coal tit but only just. We do have a lot of willow and marshland around here which is their preferred environment and it is coming to within 6 foot of me, so I will keep an eye out and see if I can get a photo of it over the next few days. So far it has only visited the suet which has mealworms in it only. We used to have them or marsh tits at our old place so I know pair of them when I see them, just working out which one is which is the problem...

The guy today was good but they don't clean or fill the machines, we would have to buy the drinks, refill and clean ourselves, fine that doesn't take long, but we would have to find time to empty the money pot, count, bag and bank it. Our bank isn't close and is a bit of a drive so we don't want to do that. That leaves just 2, I know who I would go with but it is the FD's decision.

Today I have been busy but achieved very little. We are having a system upgrade so couldn't use my computer much, a couple of screens I couldn't use for most of the day and they are the ones I use most so just bitting and bobbing today. Hopefully all sorted now so tomorrow I should be able to get on with stuff.
