I got up at 6.30, made us a brew each and went back to bed. Fell asleep and got up about 30 minutes ago, tea toast and jam for breakfast. We will be having a bacon buttie for lunch.

When I tugged open the quilt cover this morning whilst changing the bedding, I heard little pinging noises. This reminded me that it is the other quilt cover that has poppers on it.

Anyone good at sewing little buttons back on?

I have just attended to disposing of the lifeless body of a Robin on our drive. This is why I don't like domestic cats, all our neighbours have them.
Kill to eat and survive, fair enough, just kill for play and then leave it there.. grrrr..

I've just had a pair on long tailed tits on my window bird feeder. They are still rather shy so didn't stay too long, but came back several times. It's only 6 foot from me if that. Great to see a new species visiting it.

Shame the window needs washing badly. The birds are such messy feeders that the window is covered with.....

.... Fat crumbs that are opaque and have covered the entire lower half of the window. I think it is the greater spotted woodpecker that is to blame, or the nuthatch

You all thought I was going to say something else didn't you
