When I went to Knebworth to see Led Zeppelin in 1979 I took a tent, sleeping bag, two salad sandwiches and a rucksack full of beer. I had no Idea what I was going to do with all that food.

Omg was that 1979? Where has all that time gone?
Btw I was there to, but we were in a Hillman imp and slept rough.

I have cooked 2 loaves of bread this morning. Both are dark rye, honey and sunflower sourdough...
One of them made a mess of the oven because the dough was more like a batter and I overfilled the loaf tin! Still it will taste good!

I have hurt my back, enough to stop me cutting down a tree this afternoon, but not enough to stop me going to M&S for crisps and wine.

They look good....and I bet cost a lot less than the £2.63 I paid Tesco for a rye loaf this morning.

They are 2 2lb loaves. Dark rye, sunflower seed and honey (though one has date syrup in it as well as honey because I ran out of honey half way through baking!)

1 1.5kg of day rye is £1.49 at the moment. I'll get it cheaper next month when I buy a pack of 10 direct from the miller. It's organic as well.... I only used 1 pack for both loaves.

Chilled Muscadet, a great big bowl of cheddar and onion crisps, and Friday autumn sunshine... The true definition of paradise...

I have taught myself to pronounce German u umlaut, which is the same as French u. After 40+ years of trying. My languages teachers at school would be proud.

Now going to have another go at pronouncing Spanish rr more reliably.

I've just weighed one of my loaves of bread... 2kg... I can offishly now vary more than 1½kg! Just had a slice of it as well. Shouldn't be hungry again for a week!
