I also use the dirty washing up water for anything that a quick rinse in cold water doesn't work. Peanut butter jars are definitely the worst. Sometimes an overnight soak helps.

we are too stingy in this house for there to be much-any peanut butter left in the jar... but a good shake with the lid on always helps... though occasionally a refill and 2nd shake is needed...

Dirty tissue should be placed in a biohazard container not recycling.

Lid off and leave out in the rain. Don't waste water.
