The Magpie restaurant does awesome fish pies.

I refuse to give my money to the Magpie restaurant. It's over rated and over priced. I have used it once on the only time that I didn't have to queue and I left the place poorer and unimpressed.

The Magpie trades on its reputation. Tonight Mrs Vernon dined at the Quayside fish restaurant, national winners of the 2014 chip shop competition. No queue, quick and efficient service, outstanding fish and chips. Could see no reason to walk another eighty yards to join the queue outside of the Magpie restaurant.
