Just tidying and found a cheap pair of reading glasses that I bought as a cheap "just in case" a couple of years ago. Err it did make things better:eek:.... that's it the slide has officially started!!!

I put my reading glasses on to read the menu in the pub yesterday and at the bottom of the page it says they have spare reading glasses behind the bar! How would I have known that without being able to read with my own?

I've just moved onto bifocals for everyday wear as I was getting frustrated with having to take them on and off all the time, even though they were clic glasses that lived around my neck.

I've yet to buy some sports bifocals, I might have to before I try reading a route. At the moment, I stop to put my glasses on or put Google maps on speaker in my pocket but I don't get much control over which way I go.

What is a clic glass?
They are joined at the bridge by a magnet, hence the name. You wear them round your neck and unclick /click them to put them on and off. I found that when I wore glasses on a cord and lent over the children at school, I'd wack them on the head with the glasses! Plus they thought that the magnet was cool.
Helen Mirren has been photographed wearing them as has @User14044. They don't work over cycle helmets though.
