You should have come to me, I teach soldering. Actually, you could be my star pupil, some of those I endeavour to teach have difficulty grabbing the right end of the iron.

Hmm, I remember hanging the iron up & grabbing the wrong end as it fell.

I know one safety tip about soldering..... I learnt it through careful observation of Mr Summerdays .... Don't see how hot it is using your nose or if you do, don't do it with an unsympathetic wife watching

It's a skill that must be learnt.
