I'm back.Been to Hunmanby to visit and old postal mate of mine.He phoned while we were away on holiday.He has had a pacemaker fitted,said he did not feel well,could i visit.I was off like a shot,just a few days after talking to him.87, he looked pretty good,it was fantastic to chew over old times.He took me into Filey to his fave pub and fish and chip shop.Bless him he nearly cried as he thanked me for coming over.His wife died twelve years ago,he has good family,but i suppose just sometimes it must get a bit lonely.I enjoyed every min of it.

My husband is attempting to ride his first 200 miler today. He was in Rhyl half an hour ago roughly 45-50 miles into the ride (I think).
Only 2 weeks ago, he did his first 100 miler!
I'm wondering at what point I will be picking him up today

My husband is attempting to ride his first 200 miler today. He was in Rhyl half an hour ago roughly 45-50 miles into the ride (I think).
Only 2 weeks ago, he did his first 100 miler!
I'm wondering at what point I will be picking him up today
Will he be able to resist the delights of Rhyl?

knowing my OH, it will get him through it and out the other side much faster
But he has established that there is an airshow there later today and he is meant to be coming back through it later on, he may use the road rather than the cycle route.
I'm pass on your best wishes. I suspect he will get home, whether or not he does the entire 200 miles and only the 190 it is to home is another matter entirely! But I did tell him to do 190 and not get to 200 is wasteful!

The joys of Wellington Road. Actually I think it'd have to be pretty bad on the front to force me that way. But then I only go there out of season.
