It's possibly a bad sign but my legs ache already from tonight's Pilates session!
I see Bob Hoover has died.
thank you.A like seems wrong for this post so I'm sending a gentle![]()
Oh dear, did the doctor suggest why it wasn't healing? Is it your underlying medical conditions or because of naturally moving around you roll onto them all the time? Four hours rather than 2 sounds good for your sleep last night, if only you could manage that regularly.thank you.
X-rays show no obvious signs of infection and the breaks are no worse. She didn't say they were healing either and agrees that they may not be by Christmas... and our 20th wedding anniversary
I have had bloods done as well. Hopefully the results will be there for my Dr's apt on Monday evening.

I'm now installed again in the sun room, but it is cloudy. There is a weather system coming in and the temperature dropped sharply last night (slept better for it though - actually made it from 10pm to 2am rather than the 10pm-12am that is the norm at the moment). The chooks are rather hungry at the moment for some reason I don't understand. I see them feeding but they refuse to use the feeder. they would rather scratch around in the soil and grass in their area instead of eating from the feeder. I can't feed them otherwise they won't eat from it. I know all but Trouble who is in solitary yet again know how to use it. Trouble (actually called Vicious Vickie or VV) for short is happier confined but the area is really too small and we are going to have to look at the issue. The flock is happier without her but if we can curb her bad behaviour she would be fine. But she's a rescue chook and we have to accept that she may not be able to deal with so much space. She likes being out in the outer enclosure which is huge anyway We used existing fencing to keep things easier and cheaper, so ended up with a massive outer run of about 10m by 25m and she can deal with that amount of room, but anything else, like the acres that are available, and for some reason she starts attacking the other chooks!I don't understand it. I'll give her another week and see what happens. Yesterday she actually laid an egg - only the 2nd one since she arrived here. Both have been lain whilst in 'solitary'... after that I may have to find her another home. But I shall try to catch her again this afternoon and hold her for half an hour and see if she calms down. It takes her 10 mins or so, but she does when nothing happens other than being stroked. I don't want her as a pet, I just need to be able to handle her... it's hard!
Tomorrow's forecast is cloudy. Sunday's reads very high probability of rain in the afternoon and evening with thunderstorms in the morning. So rain in the morning, rain in the afternoon and rain in the evening. The shopping (I'm not going) will get done on Sunday instead and my OH make the most of the dry weather on Saturday to get the work done in the garden that needs doing and some more logs chopped for the fire. Hopefully it will get warmer sooner rather than later because that will be the last of the logs and we will have to purchase some more soon. The longer we leave it though, the cheaper it will get because people don't normally want too much wood in the hotter summer months when its hot during the night as well as the day!
right enough witterings. I have a blog to update and lunch to make. Morning all and thank you.
Have they been decorating as well?
I was wondering what that ''star'' was. For those watching in green and white you'd have to rotate the Pakistan flag by 90 degrees to get the idea. With Jupiter just below it.......beautiful in the eastern sky
It is cloudy here. The moon looks like a silver toenail clipping.
I wouldn't get in a flap about it.Oh dear! I may have frightened the kitten from going through the cat flap, he is still not using it yet so I was showing him how he can look through it with the flap raised. All was fine, so I lowered it so that he could play with the flap, that was until I heard a yelp, he had trapped his paw underneath the flap and the tunnel, a bit like how inertia reel seat belts lock. I pushed the flap open to release him and he is now outside playing.
