Talking of disturbed sleep... I'm not in Mr Summerdays good books at the moment! Recently updated my iPad, and they changed from being able to swipe the front screen to get to the unlock screen, to having to presss a button! The SAME button that also works Siri.... who said "what can I help you with" at 4 am this morning

I was trying hard to give my OH a lie in this morning after 10 days of very badly broken sleep and no end in sight yet when this morning at 7:30am the wind picked up without warning and there was an almighty crash as the piece of wood holding the kitchen door fly screen open against the house was pushed free, shot across the veranda and the fly screen slammed shut against the door frame - metal on metal, bounced and repeated several times before I could get to it. When I got back, he was in the bathroom... I had already woken him twice during the night and when I got up at 6:30am... so much for his lie in!

He is now trying to garden with the assistance of 5 chooks. It isn't going as quickly or as smoothly as he would like!

Sorry I missed the industrial shenanigans earlier. I was wide awake at 1am too but coaxed myself asleep eventually, I ran out of sheep.

I wonder what an original roulette wheel went for in the auction yesterday?

I had never seen one before and was surprised to see how large it was, it took a bit of effort to get it spinning.

I'm sat here in my cycling kit, my Eastway is parked in the kitchen behind me, I'm off for a bike ride in a bit.

After a lovely visit with Miss K yesterday, we are staying in a pub by the river in Bewdley. There were lots of noises from the water fowl during the night. This morning the rowing club were on the river well before 8. We're about to go for breakfast..

I just rescued a Cycling UK email that Google dumped in my spam. That never happened in CTC's day, etc....

Nice morning for it, I'm planning on taking the newly rebuilt (from a nut and bolt strip/regrease) Ridgeback for a 'shakedown' spin.

Schrödinger the kitten has gone outside to do a bit of exploring. He went out yesterday for his first permitted venture and dissapeared. After a while I started to worry as I hadn't seen him, I whistled out of the back door, still no sign so I went to sit down and wait for him to return, as I did I saw him on the front lawn enjoying himself. As he is my daughter's cat I feel more responsible for him.
He is now indoors having a wash.
