Sounds like you have had a real result. That really is beautiful. Hope you keep the good weather.Gleann Cholm Cille, co. Donegal.
A little weekend break. Will be climbing Sliabh Liag tomorrow.
I got an empty hostel and an empty pub.
Great place. There was a series filmed there some 25 years ago called 'Murder in Paradise'. I drove there once and arrived in the evening at the pub where some of it was filmed. we were out of Petrol and asked the landlord where we might buy a few litres to get us back to civilisation .... he opened the till, removed some keys walked across the road, opened-up a petrol pump and served us! Hoorah!Gleann Cholm Cille, co. Donegal.

That's the place and the series.., Roartys bar!Roarty's bar. I'm sitting in it right now! TV program was called Murder in Eden.
It's only 60 odd miles from where I live but this is only my second visit. First was earlier this year by bike as part of a tour. It's a seriously tough ride on a loaded touring bike. I drove here today but with the weather I wish I'd cycled!
The coastal route via Donegal town avoids the Ghleann Geis Pass and would be an easier bike route but it's longer and is mostly busy national primary road.

I was working a lot in Ireland then. On that trip I was mostly In Enniskillen and a lot of weeks in Craigavon. I'd fly home on a Friday, grab a takeaway and just get in front of the telly to watch murder in Eden! Was a good series. You are very lucky :-)
Good rain, then. That's a rarity which should be enjoyed whenever possible.I hope the weather keeps up. My weather app tells me it's raining right now but there isn't a cloud in the sky ..
