I have just sat down and planned all the meals over Christmas, the only one I haven't nailed down is the main meal on Crombo day. I will have to see what I buy from Tori & Ben, it may be a rib, in which case it will be a traditional roast, however if it is a fillet then I will go poncy with jus, and cauliflower three ways etc.
Been a while since you last mentioned Ben, how is he?
Will he be joining you for Crombo? ? lunch?

I've been to Aldi and bought one of their lights... it's charging now....

This was the sky on the way there... Luckily it rained whilst I was inside!

So far today I have finished one of my current books, moved a bed, done 2 loads of washing, checked my secret sloe bushes, made some sloe gin using left over gin and last year's sloes from the freezer, no not a sip has passed my lips:angel:, made shepherds pie, done the shopping, made coffee and just eaten some fruit cake.

That's it for today folks. The Fevertree is chilling ready for after supper.

I'm done.
Blimey. That's more than I did in September.

I have just been offered a PRINCE2 project managers course at work.
Bit of a waste of time as I will never use it so I'm going to decline and let someone who should have it and will use it have it.
It is not to my taste. Proper project management is about getting people to what needs doing and understand the importance of their work. Prince like most PM methods is about looking clever with charts and paperwork. Fine for large infrastructure jobs, but it is applied in some organisations in place of common sense, listening and explaining.

Don't bother, it comes from the same kind of people that think a degree in business studies is useful.

I really don't need it in my role, heavens knows why they thought I would.

The people who thought you did, they don't happen to have meaningless business degrees do they?
Well put it this way. They don't do what I do and have never done what I do, in fact have very little idea what I do.

That may indicate why they think that course could help me.
