Seeing the old name reminded me that I used to have dealings with one of the charity's founding members, Dr Helen Bamber, when I worked at Amnesty International. A true campaigner, so much so that she was difficult to work with because she was so single-minded and determined. I was having trouble remembering her surname but I just read that she died a couple of years ago. RIP

Shorts and t-shirt (and wellies!) to walk the dog but it was a tad chilly despite the bright blue sky so have swapped the shorts for tracksuit bottoms and socks.

Well i wont need to water the garden today as i had planned.

Total deluge last night. However it is still warm enough for the doors to be open and there is blue sky and sunshine.

But, it is still raining.

Anyway i am sober, hallelujah!
