You all lied to me. What did I say/do to make you want me out of the UK?

Australia is a hot, warm, dry arid country.

And the chooks are not happy at all...

The original 2 were found on the veranda (under it was a waterway again)....

The new 3 ventured out sometime later just before dusk when it finally stopped (briefly) raining.

Back to View attachment 145950 and View attachment 145951 now.... I could have saved all the trouble of getting here with a bad back on an airplane and had this weather in the UK....

Off to chop wood, light a fire and sort the new chooks out. They are older than my original 2 and taking over, but I need to make some changes to the roosting perch situation to restore calm before blood is shed literally! Mind you with all the leaks in the roof of the chook house, I may just not actually notice the blood...

Right time for a hot shower (minus....) rather than a cold shower with clothed and waterproofs on.
Then it's light the fire time (after laying it) and feed the chooks and persuade them to go to bed for the night!

And going by the colour of the horizon right now, night is coming early tonight and its going to be wet... black as night, navy blue... you know that colour you get when you know the rain is about to get a whole lot worse and it actually getting lighter is not a good thing!

Oh no! Keep thinking about those hot dry summer days you'll be enjoying whilst we're in the midst of winter.
