It would have been MORE helpful if you had told me where I'd put it!!!
Nobody has ever accused me of being helpful.

I accidentally walked 20 miles on Wednesday!!

I was in the pub on Tuesday, and got talking to an American lady who was over here on holiday by herself. I noticed her as she clearly liked her beers and eas taking notes of what she was drinking (that sounds like my sort of woman right there!).
Anyway, it turns out, she is walking the newly created John Muir way, a 134 mile path across Scotland from Helensburgh to Dunbar.... All by herself, unaided, not for any charity or anything, just for herself

We had got on like a house on fire, so I agreed to meet her the next morning as she set off, but I was curious to see the new 'path' (in reality it is largely made up of existing paths) so I joined here for a bit..... Or so I thought.

I kept on saying 'I'll turn back at that next corner, I'll turn back at that piece of forest, I'll turn back, I'll turn back, until
I ended up halfway, in the middle of nowhere.
This was to be her longest stretch, with it being 18 miles from Balloch to Strathblane, with only the promise of a bus home at Strathblane, so, I decided 'What the heck?' I was already half way so would have hurt myself anyway.

After taking a wrong turning near to Carbeth, the 18 miles became 20 and we eventually got to Strathblane, me, still in my trainers and with sod all in my bag (luckily the weather was kind to us, so nothing was needed really).

I was persuaded to stay at the hotel over night, so we had a nice evening in the bar.

I last saw her yesterday morning and we are to meet again next Saturday in Glasgow for a bit of a pub crawl!!
Just the one question:
What numbers were on the glasses?

I've just met 2 ex work colleagues who are attending a conference in Oxford. I might have had a few glasses of red wine courtesy of Brasenose College which has made cycling home on my Elephant bike interesting.
My friend has had a nightmare getting home... Signalling problems but she should be getting picked up now ....

Its been a great first week in my new role..and the good lady is home from her surgical procedure.
op went well but she has been very sick and still does feel very sick..she had a odd reaction from the anesthetic, and had to have a large ammount of saliva removed which caused her to chock while under, poor girl always seems to get the worst of it..
Its been a long day and we both want our pillows..
ive lost 5 lbs this week too..so ill be wanting another uniform next week at this rate...
