Gas man has been and gone, and the fitting cost has gone up , part of the chimney has got to be modified to make the fire fit. The old fire is out the front, If one of the local scrap men hasn't grabbed it the gas man will dispose of it when he fits the fire a week tomorrow.

Mrs R is always losing things. The bank are thinking about giving her a hotline to the card cancelling department. It's just one of those things. Phone the bank, cancel the card, notify the police (although they may not be too interested) and chill. Tell Mr Summerdays you are feeling traumatised and need taking out for a meal tonight (he'll have to pay because you haven't a card)........I fall for it every time.

Joint cards ... Multiple ones ... He's busy phoning the companies and I'm in the dog house. I can't even remember what was in it!

The reason we have joint cards is that he soon realised I was hopeless and took over the paying of my credit cards to make sure it avoided the extra charges and then it was a small step into joint so that I wasn't in charge of money things.... It's better that way.... Apart from now when I mess up!

It's a bit of a hassle cancelling them but the banks are geared up for this sort of thing, so shouldn't take too long. Now, if you'd lost your bike, that would have been something to worry about........mind you Mrs R has had five bikes stolen in the last 30 years
