I've just eaten a plum and it was nice.

Not, however, an English plum.

Train and tube strike starts in London this evening.
For my ride home and my ride to work in the morning I shall be laughing at all the stressed "moles" not knowing how to get from A to B and queued for ages waiting for the bus that shall be caught in all the gridlock.
Take heed London - cycling is the only way to get around this city.

Actually, given the size of central London, walking works pretty well too.

I'm thinking of sticking to the country lanes down through Wellington, Culmstock, Kentisbeare, and Mutterton but then taking the busier roads through / past Broadclyst, Clyst Honiton, and Clyst St Mary as I'll be hungry and in (desperate) need of a coffee by then.

Isn't there a canal towpath that goes that way? I'm not sure I can cope with roads - too smooth.
