Where is the hate button? I share Hill Wimp's view of hills, there is usually a route around ....Brilliant! We'll do the Quantocks the following day, then the Blackdowns, and save the Brendon Hills and Exmoor for the grand finale

I'll have a 35-40 mile ride out there, plenty of lumps to earn the cake!I do that just getting to the shed to get my bike out!
Actually I did find a flat bit of East Devon yesterday, I just had to avoid the planes landing to do a few laps of the Exeter Airport runway.
Could we take a leaf out of the current Euro tour..... They seem to be going easy on the miles so that they can prioritise the more important things in lifeIf a flat and cake-filled mooch around the Somerset Levels and Moors is requested, one shall be provided.
The ride I'll be doing with my friends will involve a coffee and bacon sandwiches at the place where we're meeting, coffee and cake in Glastonbury, lunch in Wells, concluding with tea, cake and possibly ice cream at the finish.Could we take a leaf out of the current Euro tour..... I have the kids this weekend and therefore have various taxiing commitments on the Saturday , otherwise I'd offer to join you and guide you on my normal relatively traffic free (but not entirely hill free) route down to there. Cross fingers for good weather for you though.Someone from my cycling group has organised a ride around the Exe Estuary for Saturday. Transport has been arranged to get us to Topsham but I'm thinking of cycling down and getting a lift back. I mention this because the route I've plotted will take me past Exeter Airport.
