Yep ours will demolish one and cucumber too, they'll chow down on nettles and no lawn is safe either. They have a sweet beak and have had most of a watermelon today.I had to buy corn for my chickens yesterday. And I bought a lettuce as well. They love lettuce.
We have a magpie that takes the piddle out of our chooks too. It'll dig up a few worms, eat half of them and line the remains up on the path that goes round the chickens enclosure so they can see them but not get at them.
