Mrs R won't be - she has trouble travelling through the US (she was deported nearly 40 years ago for working as a life guard on a holiday camp without a work permit). I'm trying to work out a trip but I'm not sure whether I can fit in around his job. He gets 2 weeks for Christmas but he says he may spend it with his girlfriend in Botswana.

Still at least there is Skype.

I rode the Smart bike a couple of years ago when I worked at Mercedes-Benz HQ. Weird, but fun. Surprised the Ford doesn't have a belt drive, tough.

I was looking at ships' bells here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship's_bell and it occurred to me that it is a binary code using 1 & 2 instead of 0 & 1.

It'd be difficult to use 0 & 1 as most of the time the bell in already in a 0 state (i.e Not being rang )

Yes, it's a folder. Apparently the motor kicks in when your smartphone detects an increased heart rate. This means that it's essentially an anti-exercise bike.
