Yes, don't do that there. A good strap is a good investment, just like a good tripod used to be the best thing you could buy to improve your (film) photography.Until you lose them over the side of a boat...

Early, but yes, I'm awake now.
I recommend a good pair of Leitz binoculars. You live by the sea, you plan some twitching. They cost the earth, but you only cry once. Look through Leitz, Zeiss binoculars once, then immediately compare to Bushnell or Bausch and Lomb, and you'll see why people pay the difference.
