It will be because he was brought up not to waste money on frivolous things..... Anytime I suggest them spending some of their money on bits to make their life easier (including taxis), they both turn down the idea. They did put in double glazing a few years ago so that's one less job to do as he was always having to fix the rotten wood in the frames and paint them.

Back home from a weekend in London, ran round Hyde Park, the last time I was there was in the late 60's when I used to play truant and ride around it on my Dawes Kingpin.

Had a rather splendid lunch in Fortnum & Mason including some naughty ice creams

Then went to the Royal Albert hall to see Swan Lake, probably the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

Had a ride on some Boris bikes, which was a laugh.

In all a FAB weekend.

Been feeling rather urgh these last few weeks / months and there's a chance I may have overdone things over the weekend as I've gone from feeling like I can do anything to, well, the absolute opposite. Luckily I've got a doctor's appointment this morning anyway, and have bribed hilly with the promise of Snipe cuddles to act as chauffeur. For some reason they don't like it when I walk into the village whilst feeling like I may pass out?
