It's still raining but clearly showing signs of coming to an end. Various dams have had to be opened, food warnings given mostly for roads crossing rivers and it's generally damp. No, make that wet.

The good news is that cyclists still get on with it and just seen to get wet even when wearing ordinary clothes (which most do). Flip flops and open toed sandles seem to be the answer.

I think you'd mentioned Lawnswood when we heard about V's death, I even looked at Google maps to check the location, which was ringing a loud bell but I wasn't sure. So I checked with my mother.

A very busy day. I finally get to check in and find that you have done the judging for me already. So, that's a great relief. I'll go to bed then.

I've just found out tonight that my Dad seemed to faint at a bus stop on Friday and was taken by ambulance to hospital (lots of facial grazes/cuts and he's on warfarin). Eventually discharged, and he made his way home by two buses rather than do the sensible thing of getting a taxi. I'll have to see if I can get a visit in this week!

Hope he's alright and he got the bus because he felt better rather than not being sensible.

Me too ... on my shoulders (and I put on factor 50 twice today, and only spent a couple of hours out in the sunshine) Doesn't seem fair!

I drove to meet some friends for a bike ride and stupidly forgot to take a cap. My hair isn't very thick on top these days so I have a sunburned head!

It has been H O T warm here today.

We had to call out the gas peeps this evening my wife could smell gas near the Meter. The gas fixy man traced the leak to the Meter so he fitted a new one, perhaps our gas bills might be a bit less in future.
