The fragrant MrsP tells me I have a Brompton shaped hole in my life, I would like to have one, but there are no circumstances likely to arise where I would ride it. I just want one 'cos they're a clever piece of kit. Maybe one day.

I'm a bit jealous of @Hill Wimp being able to get one on the CTW scheme.

Every time someone writes the word Brompton my new bike gene starts itching. It's sometimes quite hard to suppress. I've just gone through the ''What can't you do with your other bikes?'' counter argument. Today's answer to that is ''You're driving 2 people down to Southsea on Wednesday so you can't get one in the car anyway, but a Brompton in the boot.....'' Ooh heck!

Waiting for the train. Feels funny being a commuter again.

I have downloaded a couple of films, got my crochet and plenty of music and books to take my mind off rejoining the rat race.

Plus the first thing i will do is print off my cycle to work forms and go and get a Brompton.

There is always an up side

I'd love a brompton and sometimes I think I could justify it.... but then I think of all the other bikes I'd like too, and I end up buying none.... somewhere I've gone wrong!!!

My new lawn mower is sat unplugged in the garage. It still feels like it is watching me.

I rather think that it thinks that it owns me, not the other way round.

I have just been doing a bit of washing up and staring out of the window watching the birds at the bird table thinking, why did they choose a time of year to do a count of birds in the garden when there are hardly any birds around? Was it just down to auditors!
I didn't bother with the survey as there wasn't any birds around.

No, my brother has a seafront flat on the other side of the pier from the pond and a nephew is visiting, so it's a look-see for him and a tag-along from my mother. As my brother is an early afternoon riser, I end up passing my morning watching cyclists bowling up and down the promenade and I think ''It should be me!''

I seem to remember - possibly pre-swan time - seeing a mock battle with model ships in that pond. I wonder whether they still do that.
