Is anyone familiar with Chapter 2 of Part 4 of the Finance Act 2004 relating to transfer of a Pension, and how to find out whether a particular scheme was deemed registered from 6th April 2006? Where can I find a copy of the Scheme's original approval letter?

What is the difference between a COMP, COMPSHP, and a COSR?

How do I find out if the receiving scheme has Member's protected rights benefits as defined in the Pensions Schemes Act 1993?

:cuppa:
That looks like it's worth a thread of its own. More chance of getting noticed.

I am coming up to drawing my private pension at the end of June. I tried to work out the best option for my circumstances and gave up because of the complicated nature of what should be a simple arrangement. I have now employed a financial adviser who is doing everything for me. I was scared that I would agree to something silly without having full knowledge of the implications. For his advice, I have to pay 1% of my pension pot. Which is quite a tidy sum.

Fortunately this is one of those tiddly pension sums that one accumulates over a lifetime. My financial advisor said it was not worth her getting involved. I am trying to move this tiddly one to the same provider as the bulk of my pension. I think it is a Compshp, aka contracted out money purchase stakeholder pension.

The "donor" scheme will be verifying my identity and carrying out an on-line reference check to ensure that I am not laundering money. Should I tell them that I always check my pockets before putting clothes in the washing machine?

I never got round to wiping the swingy bit of the kitchen bin.
I rode up to Pitsford for an ice cream instead :okay:
My daughter's got an automatic one, something like this:

If you don't touch it it doesn't get greasy marks. Mind, when it jumped up and hit me on the hand I got into trouble for touching it!

Right, I'm off to mow my mother's lawn.
