It's nice here today, but had some expensive news about my car, however I too am going to have a 'chillin' day.

I had a Pink Panther, Peter Sellers moment a few minutes ago. I was vacuuming upstairs and went from the carpet on the landing to the vinyl flooring in the bathroom. Almost perfect suction , I couldn't shift it, as I tried lifting it the flooring was coming up with it, the motor screaming I searched desperately for a trigger to release some of the suction. Eventually I switched the cleaner off. I did a quick calculation, I was trying to lift 170 lbs on the end of the cleaner.

Just leaving Plymouth homeward bound, we've had a lovely break in Cornwall and enjoyed this mornings boat trip, home tonight.

I helped my mate aged 84 to cut his hedges and his Daughters three doors away.He gave me half a roll of black pudding as a gift.Oh i do wish i had not eaten all of it in one sitting.Serves me right.

Talking of black pudding, I have to go to Potsyland tomorrow, this gives an opportunity to visit the Cheshire Smokehouse and pick up some of their rather wonderful Stornaway black pud

I've just got back from the cinema, Captain America Civil War. A bit disappointing, no mention anywhere about the prevention of the spread of slavery, or the Southern secession if Lincoln, won the 1860 election. I mean really?

Had a hell of a wait at hospital, was there 3 hours.

Didn't get to see my consultant but saw the Specialist Spinal Nurse who just happens to be a lady I went to school with, and looked after me in hospital (her hubby is a cyclist).

The pain I have is to be expected from such an injury and will take a long time to go - nothing unusual fortunately. My slow walking speed is also normal given the severity of the break. I can dispatch with the brace and can go back part time to work.

The bones have fused, if a bit wonky. I've lost 1cm off the front of the L1 vertebrae and the T12 is a bit wonky compensating for the loss of bone. Promised picture below. No cracks now !
