Fair weathered, fair minded but easily persuaded.
But does it make any difference?
So far yes it does actually.

I raised my saddle a smidgeon more and set it a tiny bit forward too but the stem and twiddle has actually made the biggest difference. I have the issue on my tourer and to be fair i had it last summer on tour too . Hopefully this will have solved the problem otherwise it's a trip to the osteo.

Whilst i was in the LBS i was looking at some rather lovely Raleighs. Unbeknown to me, @raleighnut will straighten me out if i get it wrong, but the company was bought by the biggest Dutch bike company in Holland. The paint jobs on them are superb and the spec seems to have raised somewhat. I did rather like a bright red hybrid that would have looked lovely on the shed wall

Anyway they are the LBS biggest seller as far as Hybrids are concerned plus Raleigh deliver the bikes whole so they are not always sending them back due to damage.

Another useless fact i learnt today was that my LBS have sold 1 Electric bike a week for the last 10 months which surprised me.

Yes, she now does not have £45 to spend on yarn!
Yes that has been noted and must soon be rectified.

Yep Accell own them, I've got a feeling that it was the German offshoot of Raleigh that produced the 'Dutch' style bikes which were a lot better than the end of the Nottingham cobbled together built bikes and kept the brand far more 'alive' than their reputation in Britain hence the Continental move.

I took my clarinet down to a local music shop today to ask them what I needed to get me up and running so to speak. The shop owner and another person who was in the shop took a look at it and said that it looked nice and said that if I didn't get on with it he would buy it off me. I said that I didn't know what it sounded like and let him have a go, it sounded nice being played by someone who knew what they were doing. I bought some reeds, some grease for the cork joint seals and a furry caterpillar type thing for cleaning inside. The shop owner said that just the Nickle plated cover for the mouthpiece would cost more than I paid for the instrument and that it would retail at over 8 times what I paid. It was nice to know that it is a nice instrument.
