Fried bread :stop:

:hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry:

And if it is so crisp it flies across the room when you try to cut it.

The lamb shoulder with its BBQ marinade had been in the oven for 4 hours, the juices have been decanted and are being reduced to make a sauce. In the other oven mixed veg are roasting with herbs and soon some homemade garlic bread (smoked garlic btw) will join them. There may be photos in a bit.

I have had a go at making some wax polish using some bees wax and white spirit

Sounds a bit complicated. I only like things I can bang.
You need to source some Carnauba Wax and Parafin wax as well, you mix this together melt it and add the white spirit, Any Dye can be added at this point. (one of my early jobs was making waxes and adhesives for the boot and shoe trade with a company called Smith and Cann in Enderby)

I've had a long nap this afternoon. The car boot sale must have worn me out yesterday.

I've been contemplating the idea of painting a Lancaster, a chap I know asked me at the sale if I still painted, it is ages since I did any drawing.
My painting failed today due to a bundle of ginger and white that wanted cuddles. Im saving mine until the weekend then i can do it in Hops studio.

I have been overdoing it a bit recently, i think i will be in bed soon.:tired: Just hope it's not a relapse.

Tried out the Sainsbury's tagine I found in a Chester charity shop. It was a sort of what have I got available jobbie, onion, sweet potato, 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger, cumin, salt & black pepper plus a teaspoon of coriander plus a bit of pork shoulder that was too small for a pie session. Indeterminate amount of water was added & cooked for an indeterminate length of time until things seemed about right. Quite hot, so I might reduce the ginger/cumin content. On the other hand I might not. Made enough for today & tomorrow, so I'll see what it's like warmed up.

The owner of the kitchen didn't complain too much.
