Been out for another 14 miles on the canal and trail, even treated myself to an ice cream.

Went a bit further up the canal than I have been before, last time it was a very rough muddy surface, looks like they have upgraded it a bit.

Not far enough North at all. The path is very good all the way to Worsley now and they've almost finished doing up the path all the way to Astley as I discovered yesterday. But your mountain bike tyres will easily cope with as it is.

For once Potsy, I'm with you, ice cream should come in a cone and have a flake in it. Ideally it should be served from a clapped out van with the word 'Whippy' some where on it. Finally it should be drawn by some slightly greasy bloke who looks like he should be on some kind of register.
