A cold what? Perhaps thicker trousers are needed.
Possibly. But in true MTB style, I'm still wearing shorts

Front door lock self destructed this morning, cost me thirty quid for a replacement, for the thirty quid you get the whole lock, I only needed the part of the lock that fitted on the back of the door, I've just added another pack of parts to the big shelf in the shed, and they will probably just sit there till I throw them out in a clear out in many years time.

Did you go to B+Q?

Local builders merchants/hardware shops are best for that sort of thing.

I know, B & Q was my second choice, my first choice, Wicks, were out of stock, would have been much cheaper.

We've got a plumbing/hardware shop run by a little old Asian bloke two minutes round the corner from us.

He's spot on, and will always give you good advice.

A while ago when I was changing our toilet I found that the new one had a waste outlet about 20mm lower than the old one, so it wouldn't fit directly to the existing waste pipe in the wall. Round the corner to the shop with a set of measurements and he sorted me out with exactly what I needed, and told me how to do it.

A month later I was in B+Q and had a look for the bits, they were only £1.50 cheaper.

I think our nearest proper one is on the other side of the City, theres a couple this side but they are just pound shops selling hardware

We have been to Aldeburgh for a few days and had a great time: the mundane bit is the meal at Brudenell restaurant, the inside looked like a pizzaria, hot desserts were served on cold plates, high prices but meagre servings, we won't go back.
