I shouldn't be up. It's the only day that I'm not tutoring at 07:40. Forgot to re-set the alarm clock.

My missus asked me to help with big lads ww2 project for school. The only bit he remembered was chourus from above classic. Apparently teachers face was a picture when he serenaded the class!

The starlings have arrived. One turned up yesterday to mug the bird feeder. Today it brought all its mates...
The local pigeon got elbowed out until the feeder was stripped bare.

And the swallows have yet to all depart.

Don't think thats sad at all. I think it's nice you feed the birds. My neighbor does that really well. So well, in fact, he's attracted a pair of either Coopers' Hawks or Peregrine Falcons to the neighborhood.

Not much chance of those kind of birds flying around here! Although i did safely catch an escaped lovebird once, returning it to its owner before the "local" birds got to it.

I think the goldfinches(canaries, actually) have left for the winter. I live in a subdivision, but it's on the edge of a medium sized city. A lot of the birds that lived here before just waited until construction was done, and moved right back in. So I see owls, hawks, and the occasional visit from a bald eagle or seagull. Those are probably coming all the way from the Illinois River at Peoria.
