This morning I had to pop round to the post office to post 4 parcels that the FD left yesterday, why use money from your pocket when petty cash will do and someone else can post it for you

Meanwhile, I had the grandchildren round this afternoon. It's now incredibly quiet once again. I like it both ways but they're a hell of a long distance from each other.

And I got round to opening an official letter, ominously marked ''THIS IS NOT A CIRCULAR,'' that arrived at the end of last week. £600! To me, not from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no memory of ever being small. This photo seems to confirm that I never was ......(I'm the one discovering that they didn't do size XXL dalek suits for 5 year olds back in the days of black and white. The shorter one is my older brother.):
