I took a Christmas cake with me on a ferry to Cherbourg once, and the guy on the X ray machine thought it looked a bit suspicious ...so I had to unwrap it and show him it wasn't a bomb [well it WAS almost pure alchohol...]....that was fun!

I'm drinking a glass of water. And then I'm going to the shops, but not by bike - by foot. It's snowing outside and there's a wind howling. Bloody winter.

Four Dickens dvds ordered.One of them was only 6p.It cost more to post.All three came to £1-69p about £3-78p postage.Fourth one £2-99p including first class postage.A bargain and a lot of xmas viewing to come.

Yesterday I got 7 letters from the Council Tax people, each contradicting the other. There are now another 2 on my doormat and frankly I can't be bothered....

I took my poor dog to the vets this afternoon.
To have one of his impacted anal scent glands sorted out. .



The dog was not amused. I was though. He gave the vet a real wide berth on the way out.
