It's a pain isn't it!

My PVR is playing up and I discovered last that all 3 of the programmes I was going to choose between watching had got corrupted. I think the hard drive is on the blink so I can't rely on the device any more. I need to catch up on what I have already recorded and then reformat the disk and see if that fixes the problem.

I've got a HD recorder and DVD Recorder combined, its been temperamental for several years now and I discovered a few weeks ago the DVD player has packed in, I'm going to be looking at a replacement sometime next year, its about five years old now and it'll probably cost more to sort out than its worth.

I've got one of those. The analogue TV recorder isn't much use now, so I just use it to play DVDs.

I suppose if I might be able to connect the Freeview PVR through the analogue PVR to archive recordings on it. I used to pass my old analogue Eurosport satellite signal through the analogue PVR so I can't see why it wouldn't work ... (A bit daft though to turn a digital signal to analogue RGB, put that through a SCART cable, turn it back into digital to archive it, then turn that back into analogue to watch the archived recordings!)
