Indoor heated swimming pool... or sea swimming?
We used to go swimming in an unheated outdoor swimming pool at my high school when I was younger... not for me, and I only went into the sea during the summer, although the stones were annoying.

I have just remembered something I haven't seen in years:
The small white strips of paint on the wheel flanges of trains (usually locos like class 47s'), apparently used to determine exactly where the centre of the wheel was during maintenance.
Anyway, that is all.
