I just filled in an online passport renewal form.

Is it September yet? :hyper:

Sigh. The wait is going to be long...

Who did you get to cut off your right arm?

Close. It's since I dispensed with the services of my right hand man, Fenton. I don't have anyone to spoon-feed me anymore.

Seriously though - well done that's great.
It is either that or £10 lost from his wallet on the next round of ingredients for pies/pies themselves... one of which I have made myself and found to be very good. :hungry:

(Hoping the sense of humour has come through with this post... It may not have done )

And if it is 10lb congratulations, now can you please tell me the secret because that it's roughly what I have put on since my back went in November and I am needing to lose it again. I'm currently munching on some chickpeas and feeling rather hungry.

I used to have a server room like that once only 10 times as bad (25 servers each with 7 or 8 cables each plus back up batteries, switched, router, firewall...) until one day we had a power outage and when the generator failed & the back up batteries had expired I asked my boss if I could do something about it. He said yes... I don't think he and I had the same thing in mind...

Every single cable was pulled out, untangled, sorted and both ends labeled as they went back in... The CEO walked in part way through, when we had all the cables out in a tangled heap on the floor... All I could say was that we were putting the downtime to good use and praying that we would be done in time  ! The look on his face was wonderful .

It took over 8 hours for 2 of us to sort out and luckily I still had no electricity by the time I was done! :heat: Maintenance after that was so much easier and it got H&S off my back.

My front room set-up is as bad with 7 sets of speaker cables to the amp then there is a DVD recorder, Minidisc recorder. BT box, CD player, Turntable (with an old QUAD 33 acting as a phono signal booster) and AV leads to the TV. Then add in all the fibre optic links, HDMI leads and the rest but its all quite logical until you replace one unit then the cable fairy does her bit and its a 3 hour job to sort it all out.
Luckily my HiFi (in the dining room) rarely needs to be altered and a lot of that is 5pin or 4 pin DIN leads (much simpler)

Wireless speakers Pah. :cursing: like you say you've still got to plug em in to the mains :cursing:.
The AV receiver is an old (15yrs) Yamaha one but it does have digital in to its own decoder that gives 5:1 sound decoding from the BT box and the DVD.
BUT we don't use the Amp to switch (it will do if wanted by scart) we simply use it to listen to audio (I can't say I want to listen to Corrie in 'surround sound' yet.
The sodding mice have eaten all my seeds in the shed again, so I've had to bite the bullet and pay to order some Dorset Naga and Scotch bonnet seeds. How on earth they can eat a couple of envelopes full of them without exploding I'll never know.
Slip in an order for some of these chilli willy seeds while you're at it.
