I've got to get the car serviced and MOT'd in Orpington tomorrow. I'm trying to decide whether I want a whole day wandering about on the bike or whether to give my much neglected Oyster 60+ card a good workout. I'm not sure Orpington has enough to hold a full day's attention for me.

Another classic Melbourne cool change coming in! It's currently 30°C inside the house, and 37 outside, but I just heard some loud thunder, and went outside to see large, thick rain clouds approaching. The temperature in Melbourne, about 20km west of here, has just dropped about 7°C in 30 minutes, and the weather moves eastward, which means I can expect something similar shortly.

Quite funny here in Hong Kong, they have put a cold weather warning out for the rest of the week, temp will be 16c. ^_^

Mid-summer where I come from in Aberdeenshire.

You know the rule. Pictures.
This is what just passed overhead:

Also, the temperature has dropped about 6°C in the last 35 minutes. If you look over to the mid right hand side, I live halfway between Viewbank and Lilydale, and halfway between Lilydale and Mt Dandenong.

As you can see, I got lucky: that rain could have easily missed me. As I mentioned, it typically moves from west to east, and today is no exception.

Here's what the half-hourly interval graph showed during the cool change at 2pm:

What a show! A sharp temperature drop, 10mm of rain in an hour, and strong and gusty winds. Right now at 5:40pm it's warmed up again to about 31°C but nowhere near the maximum.
