I've just finished plumbing in new taps in the bathroom. One leaked slightly so I have tightened it up. I swore quite a lot. I haven't had any dinner yet. Hopefully, the tightened up tap will hold.

At the check out the guy behind me had 36 tins of beer and 2 bottles of Vodka and nothing else so I said to him “ I can see you have your priorities right” he was not amused.

What a bore. He obviously doesn't deserve people-like-you-with-a-good-sense-of-humour entertaining him while he's shopping.
