Get some WD40 or similar on them quick or they'll rust like a bugger, you can clean it off before they're ridden but they will corrode very quickly without some protection.

I wondered about spraying the brake calipers with a clear topcoat lacquer to retard future rusting. Not ideal for the rims, perhaps. D-day is drawing near, Mum & Dad are coming up to us on 17th June and I want the bike to be ready for her to take away then !

What inner tubes are compatible with 37-590 tyres?

They're sometimes labelled 650A or 26x1⅜" but looking at my spare tube of that size (bought from Wilco Fastfit if you have them there), it's not marked with any other size (unlike my 28-630 which is also labelled as 35/42-622).

https://www.innertubeshop.com/products/impac-26x1-3-8-inner-tube-woods-valve-650-a-b-x32-47 seems to suggest some 47+-559 (aka 26x1.75"+) tubes may work. I think Impac are linked to Schwalbe these days, but Schwalbe's 590 tubes (size DV12/AV12/SV12) are not marked for any other sizes.

She should be nearly home now, it's about 110 miles to Waterlooville from Winterbourne.
