Ive given up on off road XC round here until it dries up (haha).... most of the paths are quagmires lakes or dangerously rutted...some paths have been washed away and on others the field floods have washed the gravel into deep longitudinal ridges..
its not just me but the bikes tranmission takes a battering in heavy mud and i'm skint enough already...had semi-slicks on for a month and they will be staying on until the (new traditional) springtime droughts.

Changed hemispheres!
Sounds great (even though I never liked riding in muddy conditions - not because of the mess, but because of the damage done to the bike's moving parts)!

As for muddy 40 year old women - bring 'em on. Even better if they are sweaty, makeup-free and grinning ear-to-ear!

what's make-up? now I know there is an emicon somewhere - ahh found it:girldance: - yeh not me.
Closest i have is the clear nail varnish I had to go and buy to cover over some paint chips on the £99 ebay n+1 earlier last month... and all that got me was this off my husband...

Nice one I,ll never forget the faces of commuters at leeds station after recently cycling liverpool leeds towpath,
almost as good as sharing a bath of john innes no3 with the OH.
