It not just the animal kingdom of which people should be aware of and are advised to wear a helmet to protect oneself.
A falling conker on the helmetless bonce* hurts just as much as a cloven hoof I can imagine.

*This may or may not of happened to me on Saturday on the CycleChat ride.

Nearly ran over a Fox MTB'ing in the dark a few weeks back - the bloody thing jumped out of undergrowth, straight over the trail and off. Might have been the magicshine and thundering tyres that scared it. :wacko:

Don't be ridiculous, foxes do not ride MTBs, and certainly not in the dark ;)
